Bryan Elected to State Aeronautics Commission
Denise Bryan, Fairfield County Airport Director, has been elected to the State Aeronautics Commission as the District 2 State Aeronautics Commissioner. The District 2 election consists of a vote by those that live in the Second Congressional District. District 2 includes Columbia Metropolitan Airport, Aiken, Lexington, Barnwell and Dry Swamp Airports. The letter of appointment, dated June 5th, went to the Secretary of State's office for appointment and oath.
"My position on the State Aeronautics Commission will benefit Fairfield County Airport because it will increase my knowledge of how things work and what is available financially. It will also allow for me as the Airport Director in another district to be seen in a higher capacity at the state level and work with others to advance aviation in the state," stated Bryan.
"I am proud to be the Fairfield County Airport Director. I am happy with the improvements over the eight years here and hope to continue with the vision that our administration and County Council have for our airport!"
