VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Fairfield Forward and the United Way of the Midlands will conduct Fairfield County's 2024 PIT count. "The PIT count is put to good use in several different ways," says Fairfield Forward Project Coordinator Shelley Fentress. "It gives local officials, service providers and others working to end homelessness a sense of where progress is being made and where and how resources should be prioritized. It also helps identify gaps and service needs to develop additional programming and it builds community capacity to address the issue of homelessness."
